The Commercial Finance Manager role is within the South LATAM Market Finance team, where you’ll report into the South Latam CFO and have 3 direct reports. As Commercial manager you are partnering with multidisciplinary teams of sales, marketing, production and logistics colleagues to make strategic business decisions that will steer the market towards delivering budget targets.
You will oversee the big picture, driving and coordinating key financial processes, supporting regional leaders. and developing Finance talent.
Your Main Responsibilities:
Business Delivery & Performance Management
- In-year holistic business delivery across all KPIs (Market Share, Net Sales & Operating Profit, Cash & Working Capital)
- Provide analytics and insights to drive business performance and advise on pricing, investment and innovation decisions
- Working knowledge of production and supply costs to drive strategy with Supply Chain business partners and interface with local Sourcing Unit Controller to understand cost trends and Capital investment requirements
- Lead financial forecasting/budgeting and longer-term strategic planning processes
Business partnering & support
- Provide analytics and insights to drive business performance and inform pricing, investment and innovation decisions
- Drive robust cost control and embed Return of Investment approach
- Coordinate and support (bi-weekly) GM meetings and monthly LT meetings
- Drive on regional level business delivery across relevant KPIs (net sales, ebit, cash, market share)
- Support and track business cases
- Support targeted deep dives for specific market units (i.e. trade terms, pricing/NRM)
Planning & forecast cycle
- Month-end closing coordination and consolidation for the markets within your region
- Coordinate periodic S&OP; process, drive constant quality improvement and accuracy from the markets within your region
- Forecast and budget coordination and consolidation
- Support CFO and GM on long-term strategic planning
- Drive groupwide process within your markets within your region and coordinate best-in-class execution
- Management reporting & analysis
- Coordinate and own management reporting for region and markets like Month-end performance reporting (trend analysis, vs budget tracker), performance dashboards
- Provide monthly performance packs for regional leadership meetings
- Ensure optimal and relevant management reporting and drive self-service and automation
- Perform analysis and drive interaction with other teams (ie supply chain finance) to create additional insights in order to drive business optimization
- Leverage your developed analytics and insights across the region
- Talent Management & Development
- Coach and develop financial and business acumen of 3 associates
Skills, experience and qualifications:
Business skills
- Commercial business partnering experience with proven ability to deliver results
- Professional Accounting knowledge and solid reporting and control skill-set
- Proven ability to work in a matrix organization (cross-functional) with multiple stakeholders
- Strategic and analytical skills
- At least 10 years’ work experience
