We are seeking a talented Data Analyst to advance our organization's data-driven strategies by evaluating existing database architectures and creating new, scalable data models. This position emphasizes adherence to industry standards and regulations while enhancing data management practices to deliver actionable insights and optimize business operations.
Responsibilities
Examine existing database structures to identify data flows, relationships, and dependencies
Record current database schema, data dictionaries, and data lineage
Collaborate with product owners, data architects, and software engineers to create scalable and efficient data models aligned with best practices
Translate business needs into technical specifications for data models and databases
Apply relevant data governance, data privacy, and regulatory requirements
Maintain and update data models, diagrams, and supporting documentation
Pinpoint areas for enhancement and optimization in existing database frameworks
Establish and execute data quality checks and validation processes
Resolve data quality issues to ensure data integrity
Coordinate with stakeholders to gather insights and promote cross-functional alignment
Train users on new data models and database architectures
Convey findings, insights, and recommendations effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field
2+ years of experience in a Data Analyst or similar role
Proficiency in SQL and familiarity with database management systems such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server
Expertise in NoSQL data stores and JSON document modeling
Background in data modeling concepts; competency in using tools like ERwin or ER/Studio
Knowledge of data governance, data privacy, and regulatory requirements
Showcase of analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills
Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to engage with a diverse range of stakeholders
Flexibility to work in agile, collaborative, and fast-paced environments
Familiarity with English at a B1+ proficiency level
