Full-Stack Engineer (Medellín)

SD Solutions is looking for a talented Full-Stack Engineer.

Company offers a hybrid format of work: (hybrid office visit - 3 days in the office/2 remote). The office is located in Edificio Select, Cra. 29c, El Poblado, Medellín, Antioquia, Colombia.

Responsibilities:

- Work with multiple disciplines and teams to design and implement code and technologies to further our game's success.
- Use Unity and C# to develop client features, address client defects, and maintain the existing client codebase.
- Ensure exceptional code quality by following architectural guidelines, extending them as needed, and implementing effective systems when appropriate.
- Stay apprised of and evaluate new technologies and programming practices.




- Use version control on a daily basis to manage source code.
- Perform code review for fellow engineers.
- Take on full-stack exploration of Server-side code, so that long-term you can help field defects and small features on the backend.
- Take on full-stack exploration of admin tools, so that long-term you can support admin tool updates using PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
- Mentor junior engineers and assist them with development and debugging.
- Participate in on-site interviews with engineering candidates.
- Determine feasibility of deliverables by evaluating the product requirements, the problem definition, and proposed solutions, while also providing accurate estimates for what it would take to achieve those goals.

Requirements:

- Experience with the Unity game engine.
- 7+ years of software development experience.
- Experience writing and debugging in a statically typed language like C#, C++ or Java.
- Experience developing games or other real-time applications.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication skills.

Advantages:





- Social/mobile game development.
- Experience with using A.I. tools like Copilot to assist in development.
- Experience with creating and maintaining packages.
- Experience working with Couchbase or RDBMs.
- Experience writing and debugging in a dynamically typed language like Javascript, PHP, Ruby or Python.
- Understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and containerization technologies (Docker, Vagrant, etc).
