Cash Application Manager
Main Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Cash Application team, ensuring accurate and timely application of customer payments.
Oversee daily cash posting, payment matching, remittance processing, and resolution of unapplied/unidentified cash.
Ensure accurate bank-to-ERP reconciliation and support month-end close activities.
Monitor and improve KPIs such as unapplied cash, posting accuracy, processing time, and cash clearing.
Drive standardization, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across Cash Application processes.
Collaborate with AR, Collections, Billing, Credit, and Finance to resolve discrepancies and improve end-to-end OTC performance.
Manage controls, documentation, and compliance with SOX, audit, and internal policies.
Support transitions, migrations, and system implementations (SAP, Oracle, HighRadius, etc.).
Develop training, work instructions (DTP/WI), and ensure team capability and performance.
Provide reporting and insights to leadership regarding cash status, risks, and operational performance.
Key Requirements




5–7+ years of experience in Order to Cash, Accounts Receivable, or Cash Application, ideally within Shared Service Centers.
3+ years of people management experience (team lead, supervisor, or manager level).
Strong expertise in cash posting, reconciliations, unapplied cash resolution, and payment processing.
Hands-on experience with major ERPs (SAP, Oracle) and cash automation tools (e.g., HighRadius).
Proven experience leading process improvements, automation, or standardization initiatives.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and drive actions.
Knowledge of SOX controls, audit requirements, and internal controls.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Advanced English (written and spoken).
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field; MBA or certifications (Lean/Six Sigma) are a plus.
