Role Overview
Job Description – Sales Manager
The Operations & Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing facility operations while leading and managing the sales function to ensure full capacity and seamless customer experience. This role acts as the bridge between high-level fleet brokerage relationships and day-to-day yard operations.
The idóneo candidate combines hands-on operational oversight, sales leadership, and strategic relationship management, ensuring safety, revenue accuracy, and consistent occupancy across the facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Leadership & Team Management
- Directly manage sales employees and hold them accountable for daily B2C and B2B sales targets.
- Oversee the entire sales cycle, from inbound marketplace/social media inquiries to invoice collection.
- Train and coach the sales team on customer service and sales best practices.
- Ensure a smooth, professional “safe‑parking” experience for every customer.
- Strategic Partnerships & B2B Relationships
- Serve as the primary point of contact for fleet brokers and large logistics partners.
- Develop, negotiate, and maintain long‑term B2B contracts to ensure consistent yard occupancy.
- Handle high‑level client communications and resolve escalated issues.
- Facility & Yard Operations
- Maintain total oversight of facility safety, organization, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure the yard is optimized for maximum capacity and safe vehicle movement.
- Conduct regular safety walks to ensure proper procedures are followed during check‑in and parking.
- Coordinate closely with the sales team to maintain efficient on‑site operations.
- Reporting & Financial Oversight
- Prepare and deliver weekly operations reports to ownership, covering occupancy, revenue, and facility needs.
- Audit invoicing, billing, and payment processes to prevent revenue leakage.
- Ensure accurate use of CRM and tracking systems (HubSpot).
Requirements
Qualifications
- 2-3 years of experience in operations management, sales management, fleet logistics, or industrial real estate.
- Proven experience managing a small team and driving sales performance.
- Strong communication skills, able to interact effectively with truck drivers and corporate brokers alike.
- Experience with invoicing systems, CRM tools (HubSpot), and basic reporting.
- Highly organized, proactive, and solutions‑oriented.
