Role

Senior Windows Systems Engineer to join a team that manages a critical cloud platform for international clients. You will work on the operation and improvement of Windows infrastructures (hybrid cloud), automation with PowerShell, and the resolution of advanced-level incidents. You will collaborate within an international team, with daily meetings conducted in English.

What will I do?

You will be responsible for administering, optimizing, and securing Windows Server infrastructures in hybrid cloud environments (AWS and Azure), contributing to continuous system improvements and the resolution of critical incidents.

- Administer and maintain Windows Server infrastructures in cloud environments (AWS, Azure).
- Manage DNS, VPNs, networks, domains, and SQL databases.
- Install, configure, and test applications, including credential and certificate rotation.
- Automate tasks using PowerShell scripting.
- Monitor, diagnose, and resolve complex technical incidents.
- Keep technical documentation up to date and collaborate on pilots and deployments.
- Manage test environments, inventory, and updates following changes or patches.
- Participate in daily meetings in English.

How will I do it?

- You will work 100% remotely from anywhere in Colombia (preferably Bogotá).
- Salary between 4 and 6.5 million COP net per month, depending on your experience.
- Colombian public holidays.
- Adaptable working hours: ideally 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (with 1-hour lunch) during summer time, and 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (with 1-hour lunch) during winter time.




- You will be provided with a PC and the necessary technologies to perform your work.
- Permanent contract.

Requirements

Minimum Requirements:

- 5+ years of experience in Windows Server systems administration or engineering within corporate environments.
- Experience with cloud environments (Azure and/or AWS): deployment, maintenance, and monitoring.
- Advanced administration of Active Directory / Entra ID: domain, user, policy, and permission management.
- Strong knowledge of DNS, VPNs, and domain management (forward and reverse zones, forwarding).
- Solid networking knowledge (IP addressing, subnets, gateways, VPNs, basic firewalls).
- PowerShell scripting for automation and orchestration of repetitive tasks.
- Experience with IIS and SSL/TLS certificate management (installation, renewal, CAs, private/public certificates).
- Proven Level 3 troubleshooting skills in Windows infrastructures (handling complex incidents).
- Experience with MS SQL Server (installation, basic maintenance, backups).
- Advanced English (B2–C1), especially conversational, to interact with international teams.
- Ability to produce clear and reproducible technical documentation (runbooks, procedures, RCA).

Nice To Have

- Experience in hybrid/multi-cloud environments (integration and operations across AWS and Azure).
- Knowledge of Windows security (hardening, advanced GPOs, audits).
- Experience with virtualization: VMware or Hyper-V.
- Familiarity with monitoring and ticketing tools (e.g., Zabbix, Grafana, Nagios, Prometheus, Jira, ServiceNow).
- Basic knowledge of SQL Server (installation, backups, maintenance tasks).
- Additional scripting skills in Python or Bash.
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft Azure, AWS SysOps/Solutions Architect, ITIL).
- Experience working in distributed teams / across international time zones.
- Previous experience managing multi-client services or multi-tenant environments.
