Job Description
As Renewals Team Lead you will lead a team of Renewals Specialists focused on the renewal of customer support contracts. You will oversee team performance against renewal, retention, and forecasting Indicators while ensuring a high-quality customer and channel partner experience.
The Team Lead provides daily coaching, prioritization, and escalation support. You will partner with Customer Success, Sales, Channel, and Operations leaders to ensure renewal strategies align with customer outcomes and our goals. You will use Salesforce data, renewal workflows, and reporting to lead accountability, visibility, and continuous improvement across the renewal motion for North America–based customers.
Your Responsibilities
- Team Leadership & Performance Management: Lead a team of Renewals Specialists responsible for renewing customer support contracts. Set clear expectations and monitor performance against renewal rates, churn, forecasting accuracy, and productivity Indicators.
- Renewal Strategy Oversight: Oversee the end-to-end renewal process across the team, ensuring execution and adherence to established processes. Review renewal pipelines, risks, and escalations; ensure proactive mitigation plans are in place for at‑risk renewals.
- Customer & Channel Partnership: Ensure the team delivers a professional engagement model with customers and channel partners during the renewal lifecycle. Promote contract value, coverage, and renewal timelines.
- Collaboration & Process Improvement: Partner with Customer Success, Sales, Contracts, Tax, Finance,
and Operations to improve renewal execution and reduce friction. Identify systemic issues affecting renewals and propose process, tooling, or policy improvements.
The Essentials – You Will Have
- Bachelor's degree.
The Preferred – You Might Also Have
- 3–5 years of experience in Renewals, Customer Success, Sales Operations, Contract Management, or a related commercial function.
- 1–2 years of people leadership experience, including coaching and performance management (preferred).
- Working knowledge of Salesforce for pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting.
- Experience supporting support, maintenance, services, or subscription‑based contracts.
- Experience supporting North America–based customers and working in a matrixed organization.
