Overview
About Tailorbird: Tailorbird is revolutionizing the real estate and construction industries with a platform that uses generative AI and advanced building modeling to create a unified source of truth for real estate data. With more than $20M raised from world-class investors including NFX, Fifth Wall, and Bloomberg, we are scaling rapidly. Our technology is already used by more than half of the top 50 developers in the U.S., and we are accelerating the way renovation, acquisition, and pre-construction decisions are made. We are a global organization with distributed teams across the U.S., Latin America, and India. Our headquarters is located on the Princeton University campus in Princeton, NJ. We are builders, innovators, and problem-solvers united by our belief that technology can radically improve how the built world is designed and delivered.
The Role
As the Production and Scaling Lead, you will be the senior operational anchor for our Bogotá hub and own the reliability of our global delivery engine. This role exists to ensure that delivery work operates as a high-throughput, low-variance production system—essentially acting as the "General Manager" of our “technical factory floor”.
We are looking for a highly senior leader of teams—a heavy-hitting operator who thrives on enforcing standards and ensuring execution is consistent, predictable, and scalable. You will manage the people, the processes, and the office environment in Bogotá, transforming complex architectural modeling into a stable and highly efficient machine. This is an executive-level leadership role, perfect for a veteran manager (e.g., Operations Director of a large-scale Call Center or a Factory Plant Manager) who values stability and precision over creative optimization.
What You`ll Do
- Command Production Flow: Oversee day-to-day execution across production flows, identifying and removing bottlenecks to ensure work moves predictably through defined stages.
- Enforce Rigorous Standards: Act as the guardian of approved workflows and checklists,
preventing local variations and ensuring a single, consistent way of executing production work.
- Lead "Teams of Teams": Provide leadership to a multi-tiered organization, maintaining steady throughput and managing high-level program delivery.
- Drive Site Leadership: Serve as the Office Leader for Bogotá, fostering a culture of high accountability and "Noble Intent" while managing local operations and senior mentorship.
- Establish First-Line Quality Gates: Detect and correct deviations early, ensuring only high-quality, standard-compliant work moves downstream.
- Architect for Scale: Support the rapid expansion of the team by creating systems that reinforce standards through repetition, examples, and structured onboarding.
- Surface Operational Signals: Identify recurring execution issues and gaps in standards, providing concrete feedback to DelOps leadership to improve the integral "machine".
Must Have
- Native Spanish speaker with advanced English (spoken and written) for direct coordination with US leadership.
- 10 - 12+ years of professional experience (8 years absolute minimum), with a proven track record as a "manager of managers".
- Six Sigma / Lean Mastery: Advanced expertise in Six Sigma methodologies is a must. You should be a "hands-on" expert in process improvement, error reduction, and industrial efficiency.
- High-Scale Operational Background: Significant experience leading large groups in a Factory, Call Center, Technical IT Center, or BPO setting.
- "Grab the bull by the horns" mindset: You are a highly senior, proactive operator who takes full responsibility for team stability and output.
- Strong experience in Agile project management and managing complex, high-volume program delivery.
Nice To Have
- Professional Degree: While an Industrial Engineering or Business background is a plus, we prioritize your track record in operational leadership over a specific field of study.
- Experience in Construction Tech, PropTech or Real Estate Tech.
- Familiarity with BIM/Revit/AutoCAD workflows (to understand the "physics" of our production line).
- Experience with SAP or high-level ERP systems for quality and supply chain management.
- Interest in Generative AI and automation in the AEC industry.
