A Day in the Life
Job Description:
- Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.- Monitor the environment health, and drive improvements to enhance availability and performance.
- Execute processes and activities that focus on restoring service after an incident occurs.
- Identify and remediate failed batch and real-time processing events.
- Participate in an on-call rotation with other team members.
- Create and drive permanent solutions and improvements after root cause is identified.
- Identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiencies.
- Customer service orientation is key. Daily, you will collaborate with internal business partners, engineering teams, and other technology professionals.
- Create and share technical knowledge documentation.
- Draft,
publish and own support runbook knowledge articles.
- Ensure support readiness prior to the deployment of any change to the production environment.
- Provide hyper-care support for code deployments.
- Use expertise in customer service and technical knowledge gained from previous experience to resolve issues surrounding the installation, usage, and training of customers on software and/or hardware products.
- Work to meet defined Service Level Agreements (SLAs)
- Recommends systems modifications to reduce user problems.
- SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM:
Typically, an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Provides IT operational support and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower-level professionals. Most of the time is spent delivering and overseeing the operation initiatives from design to implement
