About the job
Trainocate has an immediate opening for a US GAAP Financial Reporting & Audit Readiness Lead.
This is a hands-on contractor role focused on supporting the Company's transition to US GAAP-based financial reporting and preparing for future audits.
The role will work closely with Finance, Operations, Sales, Legal, local accounting teams, and external auditors to implement practical accounting processes, strengthen financial reporting, and support audit-ready documentation.
A key priority will be the implementation of ASC 606 revenue recognition, including establishing processes to evaluate contract terms, performance obligations, timing of revenue recognition, and supporting documentation.
The role will also support other US GAAP areas such as software accounting, depreciation, intangible assets, leases, intercompany transactions, and consolidation.
This is intended to be a long-term role for someone who can work inside the organization, drive cross-functional coordination, and help build scalable financial reporting processes as the Company continues to grow.

Fee Range
USD 2,*****,300/month DOE for full-time
Responsibilities
Lead and support the implementation of US GAAP accounting policies and financial reporting processes.
Drive the implementation of ASC 606 revenue recognition, including contract review, performance obligation assessment, revenue recognition timing, and audit-ready documentation.
Work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Sales, Legal, local accountants, and external auditors to gather required information and implement practical accounting processes.
Support preparation of US-GAAP-based financial statements, reporting packages, and audit schedules.
Assist with complex accounting areas, including software accounting, depreciation, intangible assets, leases, accruals, and other US GAAP matters.
Review and improve intercompany accounting, account mapping, and chart of accounts structure to support consolidated financial reporting.
Support preparation of consolidated financial statements, including intercompany eliminations and consolidation adjustments.
Help develop and maintain accounting policies, procedures, templates,
reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
Support audit readiness and respond to external auditor requests.
Provide practical recommendations to improve financial reporting processes, internal controls, and documentation standards.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
CPA, equivalent accounting qualification, or Big 4 audit/advisory experience strongly preferred.
5+ years of hands-on accounting, audit, or financial reporting experience, ideally in an international or multi-entity environment.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with hands-on experience in ASC 606 revenue recognition strongly preferred.
Experience preparing or auditing US-GAAP-based financial statements.
Experience with audit readiness, external audit support, and preparation of audit schedules and supporting documentation.
Experience with consolidated financial statements, intercompany transactions, eliminations, and multi-entity reporting.
Strong project management skills and ability to work cross-functionally with Finance, Operations, Sales, Legal, HR, local accountants, and external advisors.
Practical, hands-on mindset with the ability to build processes from an evolving accounting infrastructure.
Proficiency in QuickBooks (Desktop) is preferred.
Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or other ERP systems is a plus.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish strongly preferred.
Valid U.S. B-1/B-2 visa or other authorization for short-term business travel preferred.
