Overview: Join the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) Data & AI team as a Specialist Solution Architect.
In this role, you will provide technical strategy for AWS database services and help drive adoption for LATAM customers.
Key Responsibilities
We work backwards from customers' complex problems to execute go-to-market plans, turning ideas into multi-billion dollar businesses.
Responsibilities include developing new AWS services concepts, accelerating adoption, creating sales plays, leveraging partners, building ecosystems, and delivering innovative solutions.
You will also serve as a first-in team to build markets for new services and deliver technical guidance for customers.
Daily Activities
Lead technical strategy for database services in LATAM, build new initiatives, provide customer feedback to product roadmaps, coordinate partners, and drive high-value engagements.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
5+ years of cloud architecture and solution implementation experience
Experience in Database Administration and strong troubleshooting skills with any Relational Database Engines (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, SQL Server)
4+ years of database administration experience
5+ years of database migration and modernization projects experience
8+ years as a Database Administrator (DBA) Specialist with hands-on administration experience in DB management, performance optimization, security & compliance, HA & DR, data migration & integration, collaboration & support
Preferred Qualifications
Experience working with end user or developer communities
Experience with RDS (PostgreSQL, MySQL), Redshift and/or other RDBMS systems
Knowledge of SQL, Linux, OLAP, and relational, NoSQL & multi-dimensional databases
Experience with scripting languages (Python or Perl) for automation
Experience with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Aurora, Azure SQL, Oracle SQL, Microsoft SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL, etc.)
Knowledge of NoSQL databases (MongoDB, DynamoDB, Cassandra)
