About the Role
The Associate Analyst – Medical Coding will transform healthcare diagnoses, procedures, and services into universal codes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with insurance guidelines.
Apply strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
Ensure accurate ICD-10 coding and sequencing
Review patient history and apply global modifiers
Follow HIPAA guidelines to protect patient information
Actively contribute to team discussions and uphold customer service standards
Certification in medical coding (AAPC or AHIMA: CPC, CGSC, COC)
Understanding of US healthcare and HIPAA
Experience with RCM software
Minimum 1 year of medical coding/denial experience
