Fundraising Associate (Digital Paid Media)

Job Summary: The Fundraising Associate will implement and optimize UNICEF’s digital fundraising strategy through paid media channels. The role supports the execution, monitoring, and optimization of digital acquisition campaigns, ensuring alignment with global fundraising objectives.

Key Functions and Accountabilities

- Support the development and implementation of digital fundraising campaigns focused on donor acquisition, cash contributions, email marketing, and lead generation.
- Define KPIs, establish reporting frameworks, and monitor campaign effectiveness across paid social, programmatic advertising, and display marketing.
- Assist in the design and execution of lead generation initiatives and value‑exchange campaigns on social media platforms.
- Collaborate with data analysts to enhance audience segmentation and optimize campaign performance.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure alignment and maximize fundraising ROI.
- Oversee end‑to‑end execution of digital campaigns aligned with the PSFR Annual Plan and integral strategies.
- Manage paid media investments, ensuring optimal resource allocation and supporting emergency fundraising initiatives.
- Collaborate with creative teams to develop compelling digital content aligned with donor engagement strategies.
- Support high‑impact campaigns during key fundraising periods.
- Conduct ongoing analysis of campaign performance; track metrics such as CPA and ROI; make data‑driven recommendations for refinements.




- Prepare comprehensive reports for senior management with actionable insights and strategic adjustments.
- Exchange best practices with international teams.
- Oversee budgeting, procurement, and invoicing processes for digital campaigns.
- Manage relationships with media agencies, creative partners, and service providers.
- Maintain documentation of campaign strategies, performance results, and key learnings.

Qualifications and Experience

- Completion of secondary education required; university-level coursework in management, marketing, digital media, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Minimum of six (6) years of progressively responsible experience in fundraising, marketing, sales, or donor acquisition with a track record of managing digital campaigns for revenue growth.
- Bachelor’s degree can substitute for three years of related work experience; master’s degree can substitute for an additional two years.
- Experience leading fundraising initiatives, digital marketing, or e‑commerce teams.
- Hands‑on experience with Google Ads, Meta (Facebook & Instagram) Ads, programmatic advertising, and SEM.
- Strong background in data‑driven decision‑making, audience segmentation, and performance optimization using analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Salesforce, Hub Spot,



or fundraising automation software.
- Experience with multi‑channel fundraising strategies, donor retention programs, or membership‑based acquisition models.
- Knowledge of budget management, campaign tracking, and reporting metrics to assess ROI.
- Preferred skills: paid media strategy development, content marketing, digital lead generation, and A/B testing, CRO, customer journey mapping.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder coordination skills.
- Intermediate level English (B1) and fluency in Spanish required.
