ROLE SUMMARY

The British International School, founded in 1981, is a private co-educational school providing an excellent, high-quality bilingual curriculum in Pre- School, Primary and Secondary, as well as an optimal learning environment. As part of our teaching team, we are looking for an outstanding and dynamic Class teacher, ready to start on 1st August 2026.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons for primary/ELS school students, following the PYP curriculum.
- Develop and implement initiatives to encourage student interest in the English language and culture, promoting literacy and communication skills.
- Offer extra help sessions, guidance, and support to students in need, helping them achieve their academic goals.
- Ensure the effective use of technology in teaching and learning activities.




- Contribute to departmental improvement, including reviewing and updating the curriculum, methods of learning and teaching.
- Ensure that lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of individual pupils, providing additional challenges and support as required.
- Promote and manage positive behaviour in the classroom and on school premises, ensuring the welfare and safety of students at all times and fostering positive attitudes towards peers, adults, property and schoolwork.
- Behave professionally concerning punctuality, standards of work, students’ homework and maintaining confidentiality of information.
- Demonstrate excellent time-management and organisational skills, meeting all deadlines.

THE IDÓNEO CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

- Bachelor’s degree in teaching or related careers.
- Software management skills (Word, Excel, Power Point, Google).
- At least 2 years of experience teaching or in related positions.
- Excellent communication and classroom management skills, with the ability to create a positive learning environment.
- Knowledge of the IB programmes is desirable.
