Job Title: Data Engineer

Location: Colombia – Remote

Position Type: Long term Contract

Experience Level: 5+ years

Requirements:

- Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, performance tuning, and data transformations
- Experience investigating complex data sets to identify logical flaws, inconsistencies, or unexpected patterns in the absence of a known ground truth.
- Experience with data modeling, especially dimensional modeling and star schemas
- Solid experience with Snowflake and cloud‑based data warehousing concepts
- Strong background in data engineering, particularly ETL/ELT development
- Proficiency in Python for data processing and automation
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and help create clarity where needed




- A proactive mindset - you naturally look for issues before they escalate and push through hurdles with persistence
- Strong communication skills and willingness to engage, contribute ideas, and collaborate with the team
- Curiosity and a desire to understand the business context behind the data, even if it’s not your strongest area yet- Problem-Solving

Nice to Have:

- Experience working in hybrid analytics/reporting tools roles / Exposure to BI tools or analytics workflows
- Apache airflow knowledge
- Familiarity with internal data governance frameworks or enterprise data management processes
