Job Title: Senior Solutions Architect

We are looking for a Senior Solutions Architect on a full-time contract basis, reporting directly to the CTO. This person will design, architect, and deliver solutions across cloud infrastructure, internal systems integrations, and AI/ML pipelines. They will serve as the primary technical escalation point for our engineering team and will be a key partner in shaping Vendormint's technical roadmap.

This role demands someone who thinks strategically, executes methodically, and delivers quickly without sacrificing quality or organization. You are expected to be hands-on. Architectural guidance without execution is not what we need.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Design, architect, and deliver end-to-end solutions on GCP (Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, GKE)
- Own and evolve internal systems integrations and high-volume retailer data pipelines
- Architect data systems capable of processing and managing large data volumes reliably at scale
- Design, implement, and iterate on AI/LLM-powered workflows and agentic systems
- Serve as the technical escalation point for a team of developers across the stack
- Own CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or equivalent) and enforce delivery and code quality standards
- Produce clear technical documentation and architectural decision records
- Partner directly with the CTO on technical roadmap, strategy, and prioritization

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

- 7+ years in solutions architecture, platform engineering, or a directly comparable senior technical role
- Deep hands-on experience with GCP: Cloud Run, Cloud SQL, and GKE specifically
- Python and FastAPI backend development at a production level




- PostgreSQL and high-volume data architecture experience
- Proven production AI/LLM integrations (OpenAI, Anthropic, or equivalent)
- CI/CD ownership and automation -- GitHub Actions or equivalent, not just familiarity
- Demonstrated ability to design AND deliver: this role requires execution, not advisory work alone
- Experience functioning as a technical escalation resource for development teams
- Comfortable operating at high velocity in a lean, resource-conscious environment

NICE TO HAVE

- Background in retail, CPG, or supply chain
- Multi-cloud exposure, including Azure
- Familiarity with agentic AI frameworks (PydanticAI, LangGraph, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with agentic engineering workflows, including Claude Code

ENGAGEMENT DETAILS

Structure: 1099 / Contract

Commitment: Full-time, approximately 40 hours per week

Location: Fully remote

Compensation: Competitive, commensurate with experience
