The IT Engineer is responsible and accountable for the smooth operations of the IT Department. He/She will oversee and administer company platforms, technology and strategies, and identify information system enhancements that will improve business and support future business needs.

Essential job functions

- Provide IT Support, troubleshooting, and training for Latam America employees
- Install and configure software and hardware (laptop, desktop, server, mobile device, SIP phone, printers, network cards, etc
- Asset Control - Recording and disturbing equipment with clear system recorder
- User IT request evaluation and report. Provide advice on the most suitable IT choices
- Network setup and troubleshooting for Cisco, Sonicwall, Palo Alto systems.
- Network Cabling for in-office environment
- Daily System Maintenance and Analysis (Servers, Network equipment, VPN, Phone, etc)
- Internal Website update and maintenance (User Manual, Event post, Address Book, etc)
- Network Security Monitoring and Protection
- Monthly IT meeting with HQ IT
- Institute protocols for the use of IT across departments and projects
- Act as link between end users and higher level support
- Monitor system and network performance




- Perform troubleshooting, repairs and data restoration
- Performance maintenance activities (e.g. backups)
- Maintain licenses and upgrade schedules
- Collaborate with other professionals to maintain standards and functionality
- Oversees all phases of a project from conception to completion.
- Develops and documents system standards for computer and network devices
- Handles highly confidential information/material
- Assists in unit testing to verify the system functions satisfy business requirements
- Participates in the review of technical designs
- Evaluates software vendors and solutions
- Flags potential issues

Essential core competencies

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- 3+ years within IT or similar departments
- Advanced decision making and problem solving skills
- Business acumen, knowledge and professionalism

Education

- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology related field
- Preferred Certifications: Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE); Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCSA); Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
