Brief Overview

The Full Stack & AI-Augmented Development will play a critical role within the engineering organization at Amwell. You will be a hands‑on builder who excels in a continuous delivery environment and is a power-user of AI-augmented development tools to drive improved code quality and velocity. You will be responsible for the full lifecycle of features, from responsive front‑end single page applications to robust back‑end microservices.

Core Responsibilities
- Feature Development: Design and implement end‑to‑end functionality using JAVA, Node.js, Angular for Amwell’s Next Generation Software.
- AI-Driven Productivity: Lead the adoption of advanced AI coding assistants (e.g., Kiro, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Agentic IDEs) to accelerate refactoring, documentation, and feature delivery.
- Quality Engineering: Drive "shift-left" quality by using AI tools for automated test generation, deep-level debugging, and proactive security scanning.
- Full SDLC Ownership: Active contributor from initial design through development, release,



and ongoing operational support in a cloud-native environment.
- Collaboration & Leadership: Engage effectively with Architecture, Product, and UX to translate complex requirements into high-performance code while mentoring junior and mid-level engineers.
- Independent Execution: Work under minimal supervision; you will be provided with assignments and objectives and given wide latitude for independent judgment.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-stack software development experience with strong exposure to JavaScript/TypeScript (Angular, Node.js).
- Backend Expertise: Experience with writing cohesive and focused microservices using Java Spring Boot or NestJS.
- 3+ years of delivering highly scalable cloud-based applications in AWS or similar cloud environments.
- Data Systems: Enterprise-level experience with Relational and NoSQL databases such as Postgres, MongoDB, Redis, or DynamoDB.
