SvitlaSystems Inc. is looking for aPrincipal Engineer/Technical Lead for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in LATAM. Our client is a developer of a planning platform that links prospective community college students with universities.

You’ll lead the design and delivery of a modern, integration-driven SaaS platform. This role is adecuado for a hands‑on technical leader who thrives in complex environments involving third‑party integrations, scalable backend systems, and cross‑functional collaboration. The engagement involves building and extending a centralized Integration Hub that connects to multiple enterprise systems, as well as developing a React-based platform interface that enables internal teams to manage integrations and onboarding workflows. It is not a pure management role. It is a deep technical leadership position requiring strong architectural thinking, hands‑on coding, and the ability to guide a small team toward high‑quality, production‑ready outcomes. You will be expected to work across this full stack, with a primary focus on backend architecture and integrations.





The platform is built on a modern full‑stack architecture, including:
- Frontend: React (TypeScript);
- Databases: MongoDB and PostgreSQL;
- Integration Layer: Custom‑built Integration Hub using a connector interface pattern;

Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a strong focus on backend systems.
- Minimum of a Bachelor's in Computer Science, Master’s preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of Node.js and TypeScript, including experience with frameworks such as NestJS.
- Proven experience designing and building scalable, modular backend architectures.
- Strong knowledge of third‑party integrations, including REST APIs, file‑based integrations (SFTP), and data transformation pipelines.
- Experience working with both relational and NoSQL databases, particularly PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
