Title and Summary

Director, Accounting

Overview:
The Director, Accounting, reporting to the VP, Accounting, supports the Corporate Controllership team in Purchase, NY. This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity of financial statements by performing key procedures and managing a team that supports Treasury Controllership, Rebates & Incentives,



Financial Reporting, and Products & Services Controllership. Additionally, this individual acts as an advisor and liaison between Corporate Controllers, SOX, ESG, Treasury, Internal Audit, Tax, Legal, and Shared Service groups.

Role:
- Oversee preparation of key procedures to monthly and quarterly close to support the Corporate Financial Reporting team
- Assist with research of moderate to complex issues, including interpretation of accounting guidance and provide Corporate team with recommendations that is in compliance with US GAAP
- Lead and oversee compliance activities, as needed (e.g.. Mastercard policies, Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and Operational Risk Management (ORM)) and communicate potential exposures to leadership
- Liaise with Regional Controllers on integral initiatives to ensure consistency and accuracy in all regions
