PurposeLeads and oversees a Technology Workforce Management team / Technology in globally ensuring business strategies, plans and initiatives are executed / delivered in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.AccountabilitiesLeads and drives a customer-focused culture throughout their team to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.Leads and coaches a team of Senior Analysts, External Workforce Management to execute against their assigned activities, goals, and cascaded operational objectives.Collaborates with vendors, contract owners and business leaders to ensure operations’ alignment to the Scotiabank’s External Workforce Management Governance and provides advisory to stakeholders about the team’s process.Manages Technology External Workforce contract execution, invoice processing and reporting, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives with full adherence to governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.Performs contract validation, execution and closing activities, updates tracker tools (Access, Excel, Jira), processes contracts leveraging bank’s contracting applications (COUPA SmartBuy, SAP Fieldglass, Icertis), and distributes published contracts to suppliers by email.Tracks all incoming and historical contract data in Excel/access database for KPIs reporting.Ensures team members align to the team’s established SLAs.Ensures the invoice process is followed, including reception, validation and submission of invoices for payment, safeguarding that deliverables or timesheets comply with the contract executed, and maintains invoice records and tracks to payment. Handles contract/Purchase Order (PO) closures.Leads, participates,
and suggests enhancements to existing team processes.Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.Creates an environment in which his/her team pursues effective and efficient operations of respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Integral Sales Principles, while ensuring adequacy, adherence, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.Builds a high-performance environment and implements a people strategy that attracts, retains, develops and motivates their team by fostering an inclusive work environment and using a coaching mindset and behaviours, communicating vision/values/business strategy, and managing succession and development planning for the team.Education / Experience / Other InformationBachelor’s degree in supply chain, business management, finance, marketing, law/jurisprudence or relevant work experience. Postgraduate is a plus.Minimum 3+ years progressive experience in third-party/supplier engagement activities. Fair knowledge about contract management (Master Agreement, Statement of Works, purchase order tools, invoice process, etc.) or ability and interest to learn on the job.Analytical skills and experience in working with a large dataset on Microsoft Excel, and exposure to running queries and macros is preferred.Nice to have: Microsoft Access, Power BI, SharePoint, Jira.Experience with automation and/or operational excellence projects will be a plus.Stakeholder management skills and comfort in speaking with senior leaders at the Bank.Strong business acumen and strategic thinking skills.Experience managing people for 1 year.Working ConditionsWork in a hybrid model: standard office-based and remote environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence.
