Accounting Clerk - Remote in Colombia only!

Talento is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accounting Clerk to join the finance team. This role is idóneo for someone looking to build a career in accounting and finance while gaining hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced environment. The selected candidate will support day‑to‑day financial operations and help maintain accurate financial records.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice review, coding, payment processing, and vendor communication
- Support accounts receivable functions such as payment tracking and customer invoice follow-ups
- Maintain and update financial records, including ledgers, invoices, expense reports, and statements
- Verify accuracy of invoices, payments, and other accounting documents to ensure compliance and proper recordkeeping
- Reconcile bank statements and vendor accounts; assist with monthly account reconciliations
- Prepare financial reports and supporting documentation for management review
- Support budget tracking, expense monitoring, and cost control initiatives




- Enter financial data into accounting systems with accuracy and timeliness
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account status
- Organize and maintain accounting documentation for easy access and compliance
- Assist with administrative and operational accounting tasks as needed

Requirements

- At least 1 year of experience in accounting, accounts payable/receivable, collections, or a similar role
- High school diploma required; Associate’s degree in accounting or related field preferred
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with accounting software (Quick Books, SAP, or similar) is a plus
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment
