Nocturnist – Northwestern Alabama

- Employed practice seeks a BE/BC Internal Medicine physician to join them
- Competitive base salary to be discussed directly with employer (shift differential pay for nocturnist)
- Salary is $32o,000 plus WRVU and quality bonuses
- Doctors average around 5-8 admissions per shift
- 14 vacation days per year
- Area has a low cost of living
- 7on/7off
- Cerner EMR
- Mid-level and Nocturnal CRNP coverage, swing shift physician and CRNP take admissions till mid-night
- Open ICU with nocturnists being required to do intubations and central line placement. One nocturnist on each shift along with 2 NPs.
- Procedure support available in-house but they ask their doctors to do procedures in an emergency situation as needed
- Residents run codes




- Neuro stroke alerts run by Neurologist and Cardiac alerts run by Cardiologist
