Barakat + Bossa, a U.S.-based law firm, is seeking a skilled Accounting Clerk to join our Administrative Resource Center in Medellín.
About the Role
This is a full-time, on-site position based in Medellín. You will support our Accounting Department by handling core accounting tasks and collaborating closely with our U.S.-based team. This role is adecuado for someone who is detail-oriented, organized, and looking to grow in a dynamic international environment.
Responsibilities
- Support accounts payable and receivable
- Enter and reconcile data in accounting systems (Quick Books, Clio Manage, or similar)
- Assist with monthly invoicing and billing review
- Help with month-end and year-end close processes
- Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
- Track expenses, process reimbursements, and assist with vendor coordination
- Communicate regularly with U.S.-based finance and operations teams
- Provide support with reports and general administrative accounting tasks
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related role
- English proficiency at C2 level (reading and writing) is required
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (Quick Books a plus)
- Ability to work U.S. Eastern Time hours Monthly salary: COP $2,800,000 - $3,500,000 based on experience
- Benefits and social security contributions provided in accordance with Colombian labor law (EPS, pension, ARL, cesantías, prima, and paid vacation)
