Job Title: Senior Financial Analyst

Location: Bogotá

The Senior Financial Cost Analyst provides end‑to‑end controlling support to local Business Units, covering cost control, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis. The role combines strong operational excellence with a transformation mindset, supporting new ways of working and continuous improvement in how Sanofi controls Opex, Capex and Costing.

Responsibilities

- Provide operational controlling support for costing and/or operating expenses, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and compliance.
- Ensure accurate and timely monthly closings, including COGS and expense reviews, and share results with Finance Business Partners and Budget Owners.
- Support budgeting and forecasting processes, including Annual Budget, Rolling Forecasts, Quarterly Landings, and other planning cycles.
- Perform cost control activities, monitoring production costs, materials, labor, inventory, and operating expenses against budget and objectives.
- Prepare financial reports and scorecards, delivering variance analysis, clear explanations, and actionable recommendations.
- Identify root causes of cost variances and partner with relevant departments to define and implement corrective actions.




- Monitor inventory levels and support procurement‑related activities to ensure cost efficiency and financial discipline.
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, and Sanofi financial policies.
- Partner closely with Finance Business Partners across GBUs, providing seamless, cohesive financial support to business leaders.
- Contribute to Finance transformation initiatives by identifying process improvement opportunities, promoting standardization, automation, and simplification.
- Support the adoption and effective use of Sanofi finance systems, platforms, and tools (including SAGA, SAP, TM1).
- Promote best practice sharing and improved ways of working across the designated region.
- Support key Finance initiatives and deliver ad hoc analyses and projects as required.

Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 3+ years of experience in financial controlling, cost management, or financial planning & analysis, experience working in complex, matrixed, or international environments is highly valued; background in shared services, hubs, or transformation environments is a plus.

Soft skills & Technical Skills: Strong ability to build effective partnerships with stakeholders at multiple organizational levels, proven capability to influence and support business decision‑making through financial insight, high attention to detail and quality, with the ability to manage tight deadlines and competing priorities, strong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects,



ability to lead through influence and act as a change agent, adaptable, proactive, and comfortable working in a dynamic, evolving environment, clear and effective written and verbal communication skills.

Advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, macros, and data analysis techniques, strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a strategic mindset, comfortable working across multiple finance systems and tools, solid understanding of Sanofi finance platforms, controls, and processes, including SAGA. Technology‑savvy with strong learning agility and proven ethical judgment and professionalism.

Education & Languages: Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related fields (required) and Advanced English level.
