About LaGrande Global
LaGrande Global is a $100M+ multi-family office and investment platform focused on private markets, alternative investments, and cross-border opportunities across Latin America and the United States.
We work with family offices, investors, entrepreneurs, and operating companies on private equity, venture capital, private credit, fund investments, strategic advisory, and long-term capital allocation.
Role Overview
This is not a generic finance role. The candidate will work directly with senior leadership on investment decisions, investor materials, fund analysis, and cross-border opportunities.
Bogotá, Colombia | Hybrid | Part-Time or Full-Time
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze private equity, venture capital, private credit, fund, and operating company investment opportunities.
- Build financial models, valuation analyses, return models, scenario analyses, and investment summaries.
- Review company financials, fund materials, data rooms, market research, and transaction documents.
- Support debt and equity fund management, including performance tracking, reporting, capital calls, distributions, and portfolio updates.
- Create investor presentations, pitch decks, investment memos, fund materials, and research reports.
- Prepare polished investor communications in English, including updates, summaries, reports, and responses to investor questions.
- Research companies, industries, funds, managers, markets, macro themes, and investment opportunities across Latin America and the U.S.
- Identify investment risks, red flags, key assumptions, value-creation opportunities, and diligence questions.
- Support internal decision-making with clear, accurate, and well-structured analysis.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, venture capital, private credit, transaction advisory, corporate finance, family office investing, or a similar investment role.
- Strong financial modeling, valuation, accounting, and investment analysis skills.
- Advanced Excel and Power Point skills.
- Strong understanding of private equity, venture capital, private credit, investment funds, valuation, IRR, MOIC, debt, equity, risk, and portfolio construction.
- Full professional fluency in Spanish and English.
- Ability to prepare investor-facing materials, memos, presentations, and written communications in English.
- Strong attention to detail, discretion, intellectual honesty, and independent judgment.
- Based in Bogotá or able to work in a hybrid format in Bogotá.
- Authorization to work in Colombia.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience at a private equity fund, venture capital fund, investment bank, family office, private credit fund, search fund, transaction advisory firm, or corporate development team.
- Experience analyzing Latin American companies, funds, or investment opportunities.
- Experience preparing investor presentations, investment committee materials, research reports, or investor updates.
- Familiarity with fund terms, capital calls, distributions, portfolio reporting,
shareholder agreements, debt agreements, cap tables, covenants, and transaction documents.
- Interest in Latin America, private markets, family offices, entrepreneurship, and cross-border investing.
What Success Looks Like
Within the first 90 days, the right candidate will be able to independently analyze investment opportunities, prepare clean financial models, summarize risks and returns, and produce polished English-language materials for investors and senior decision-makers.
The person should be able to move from raw financials, data rooms, fund decks, or market research into clear conclusions: what matters, what the risks are, what assumptions need to be tested, and whether the opportunity is worth deeper review.
Ideal Candidate
The adecuado candidate is technically strong, detail-oriented, commercially sharp, and comfortable working in a small, entrepreneurial investment environment.
We are looking for someone who can build a financial model, understand the business behind the numbers, challenge assumptions, identify risks, and communicate conclusions clearly.
This person should be equally comfortable analyzing a private equity deal, reviewing a venture capital fund, preparing a research report, or drafting an investor update in polished English.
