Description & Scope

The HVAC Solutions Support Specialist will assist field specialists in the start-up and fine tuning process of Jamesway HVAC systems, as well as assisting customers who require HVAC remote assistance and support with the troubleshooting process. The role requires communication with the R&D; department, reporting areas for improvement in programming codes based on the efficiency of the field operational systems, internal/external documentation development and any technical support required by the HVAC solution team designers.

Duties & Responsibilities

- Utilize programming software to verify parameters and assist with troubleshooting (Internally & externally) including restore, replace and reconfiguring processes of legacy systems.
- Participate in testing and validation activities to ensure control systems function as intended.
- Assist in simulations and on-site testing to validate control strategies and system performance.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers, gaining knowledge and expertise in HVAC systems and control design.
- Assist in creating documentation related to Jamesway HVAC systems processes as start-ups, updates, upgrades, requirements, etc.
- Provide support to field service teams during system installation and troubleshooting.
- Support HVAC solutions designers’ team with technical packages development.
- Engage in continuous learning to deepen understanding of HVAC systems and control software.

Qualifications

- College Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology or a related field and 2-5 years experience in control systems software design.
- Basic understanding of industrial HVAC systems; willingness to learn and develop expertise.
- Experience with PLC programming (e.g., Siemens, Schneider, Allen-Bradley).
- Basic knowledge of control theory and automation principles.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and teamwork skills; willingness to collaborate and learn from senior engineers.
- Ability to travel to customer sites as needed for system commissioning and support.
