- Assume responsibility for all tax-related matters associated with VISA’s operations in Colombia and the Andean region, including support for Andean-based integral projects as required.
- Oversee, coordinate, and approve the preparation, review, and filing of both direct and indirect tax compliance obligations for all VISA entities in Colombia and other Andean countries (with preparation performed by external providers).
This responsibility encompasses the handling of audits and any controversies arising from tax compliance activities.
- Assist in the maintenance and review of transfer pricing policies and calculations as determined by the transfer pricing team, including supervision and support for the preparation of transfer pricing studies and subsequent updates as necessary. Familiarity with Colombian and Andean countries transfer pricing regulations is essential.
- Contribute to VISA’s quarterly and annual tax provision processes, including the review of tax accounts in collaboration with local advisors, preparation of tax cash forecasts, annual budgeting, analysis of potential tax reserves or uncertain tax positions, and assessment of possible valuation allowance requirements.
