About the Role
We are seeking a proactive and detailoriented Traffic Specialist to coordinate loads from container availability to final delivery. This role serves as the operational bridge between customers, carriers, terminals, and steamship lines, ensuring deadlines are met and documentation is accurate in the Landstar TMS system.
Key Responsibilities
Trace and track import export containers daily, confirming availability and reporting delays.
Verify ERD and cutoff dates to avoid shutouts and extra costs.
Monitor port and customs status to prevent demurrage.
Schedule pickup and delivery appointments, confirming warehouse requirements.
Dispatch drivers and send rate confirmations with complete instructions.
Provide realtime updates and proactive customer service.
Close loads in Landstar TMS with correct documentation and billing references.
MustHave Requirements
Experience Minimum 1 year in similar logistics or traffic positions.
Languages English proficiency at C1 level written and spoken.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
High attention to detail and proactive problemsolving.
Knowledge of drayage processes, port operations, ERD, CUT dates, DOs, BLs, and bookings.
Experience with TMS or similar systems.
