Project Overview

The General Green Growth Institute (GGGI) is implementing the Antioquia Bio Competitiva project under the UK PACT framework. The initiative seeks to accelerate the scaling of innovative bioeconomy solutions in the Department of Antioquia through knowledge transfer, capacity building, and strengthening of value‑chain linkages. The consultant will support the technical assistance and monitoring of the “Investment scaling support for four companies linked to bioeconomy value chains” and “MAPBIO Antioquia Edition” calls.

Responsibilities

- Support the implementation of the acceleration program: execute technical assistance activities for selected bioeconomy companies, facilitate communication among beneficiaries and stakeholders, and monitor compliance with workplans and milestones.
- Conduct technical follow‑up and monitoring: track progress of each beneficiary enterprise, identify bottlenecks and risks, propose corrective actions, and maintain updated monitoring records.
- Support value‑chain strengthening processes: identify opportunities to strengthen productive, commercial, and innovation linkages within bioeconomy value chains, and aid beneficiaries in commercialization, partnerships, financing, or market access.
- Document technical assistance processes and results: prepare progress reports, success stories, case studies, and visibility materials that highlight the impact of the programs.
- Support coordination and reporting requirements: participate in coordination meetings,



and help prepare inputs for donor reporting and project communication materials.

- Work plan – 10 % ($1,100) within two weeks
- Baseline and Diagnostic Report – 10 % ($1,100) within two months
- Technical Report 1 – 10 % ($1,100) within three months
- Technical Report 2 – 10 % ($1,100) within four months
- Documentation and Visibility Package – 10 % ($1,100) within five months
- Technical Report 3 – 10 % ($1,100) within six months
- Technical Report 4 – 10 % ($1,100) within seven months
- Technical Report 5 – 10 % ($1,100) within eight months
- Technical Report 6 – 10 % ($1,100) within nine months
- Final Report – 10 % ($1,100) within 38 weeks

Qualifications

- Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Foreign Trade / International Business, Environmental / Forestry / Biological / Agroindustrial Engineering.
- Mandatory: At least two years in roles related to productive development, entrepreneurship and innovation, bio‑products, special value chains, commercial scaling, or related SME support.
- Mandatory: Two‑year experience in activities such as legal and tax formalization, sectoral procedures (e.g., INVIMA, ICA), institutional articulation with government agencies.
- Desirable: Short training in acceleration, entrepreneurship, or related programs.
- Working knowledge of English and ability to read technical documents.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and collaborative skills, with ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness for occasional travels to rural areas in Colombia.
