Objectives of the Assignment
The consultancy supports the implementation, monitoring, and documentation of the “Bioeconomy Acceleration for Microenterprises Affiliated with COMFAMA” call under the Antioquia Bio Competitiva project. The goal is to strengthen productive, commercial, and organizational capacities of beneficiary enterprises and consolidate sustainable and competitive bioeconomy value chains in Antioquia.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of the acceleration program
- Provide technical assistance to selected microenterprises.
- Facilitate communication among beneficiary enterprises, technical experts, COMFAMA, and GGGI.
- Monitor compliance with workplans, timelines, and technical milestones.
- Conduct technical follow‑up and monitoring
- Track progress of each beneficiary enterprise throughout the acceleration process.
- Identify bottlenecks, risks, and support needs; propose corrective actions.
- Maintain updated monitoring records for all enterprises.
- Support value‑chain strengthening processes
- Identify opportunities to strengthen productive, commercial, and innovation linkages within bioeconomy value chains.
- Assist enterprises in exploring commercialization, partnership, financing, or market access options.
- Document technical assistance processes and results
- Prepare technical progress reports documenting activities, participation, challenges, lessons learned, and preliminary results.
- Develop success stories, case studies,
and visibility materials highlighting program impact.
- Support coordination and reporting requirements
- Participate in coordination meetings with GGGI, COMFAMA, Antioquia Governorate, and relevant stakeholders.
- Prepare inputs for donor reporting, monitoring frameworks, and project communication materials.
Deliverables
- Detailed work plan outlining methodology, timeline, milestones, and validation meetings.
- Baseline and Diagnostic Report.
- Technical reports at four-monthly intervals summarizing activities, progress, risks, and recommendations.
- Final Report summarizing all activities, results, challenges, lessons learned, and recommendations.
- Visibility packages (case studies, success stories, communication materials).
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Foreign Trade, International Business, Environmental/Forestry/Biological/Agroindustrial Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum two (2) years in roles related to productive development, entrepreneurship, bioinputs, agribusiness, commercial scaling, SME accompaniment, exports, or project management.
- Demonstrable experience in legal & tax formalization, bioindustry procedures, and institutional articulation with ministries and chambers of commerce.
- Desirable: Short training in acceleration, entrepreneurship, innovation hubs.
- Working knowledge of English (reading technical documents).
- Ability to manage business growth indicators or MEL, and relationships with innovation ecosystems.
- Strong organizational, time‑management, and collaboration skills.
- Ability to adapt to project needs and occasional travel to rural areas.
