Role Summary
The role of Backend Engineer is foundational to our client's Human-Led AI Orchestration Layer. You will build secure, scalable backend infrastructure and DevOps systems that power authentication, multi-tenant access, Action Points™, Metadata layer and Human-led AI orchestration flows. You are both a backend engineer and an infra-minded builder, capable of delivering fast APIs, secure data boundaries, Azure infrastructure, and Clerk-driven identity across the platform.



Everything you build is expected to be revenue-ready.
Key Responsibilities
Backend Engineering
- Build scalable API services
- Integrate Clerk Authentication for identity, RBAC, token validation, and authorization
- Implement core backend for human-led AI workflows
- Support multi-tenant architecture, secure session management, and API hardening

DevOps / Cloud Engineering
- Deploy and manage Azure infrastructure (Functions, App Services, AKS, Key Vault)
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps)
- Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or Bicep
- Configure monitoring, logging, observability, and uptime automation
- Optimize cloud cost, performance, and reliability

Requirements
- Strong Python/FastAPI backend development experience
- Hands-on Clerk Authentication integration (JWTs, RBAC, middleware)
- Azure DevOps pipeline experience
- OAuth2, JWT, CORS/CSRF,
