Org. Setting and Reporting
- This position is located in the Mission Support Unit (MSU) of the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia (UNVMC), duty station, Bogota. The incumbent reports directly to the Chief of Section, Operations and Resources Management.

- Education
- Advanced university degree (master's degree or equivalent) in logistics, business administration, management, engineering, or related field is required. A first-level university degree in combination with two (2) additional years of qualifying experience in areas such as transport or logistics operations/management, supply chain management, etc. may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Job - Specific Qualification
- Certification in Supply Chain (SCOR-P, CSCP or equivalent) is desirable.
- Work Experience
- A minimum of seven (07) years of progressively responsible experience in land or air transport, logistics operations in military, commercial or international organization, or related areas is required. A minimum of three (3) years of experience supervising teams in supply chain, logistics or equivalent is required. Experience in developing logistics plans,



policies, procedures, and new strategies and providing technical and procedural advice in a broad range of logistics areas in support of a field operation (inclusive of peacekeeping operations, special political missions, agencies funds and programmes), or other similar international organization is required. Experience in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in logistics and supply chain is desirable. Experience working with data analytics and visualization tools and developing data analytics and visualization reports and dashboards is desirable.

- English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in both English and Spanish is required.
