and developer velocityHelp establish technical direction, engineering standards, and execution rigor for a fast-moving, AI-forward orgMentor engineers and raise the bar on engineering craftsmanship, systems thinking, and speed of executionWhat we are looking for:8+ years of software engineering experience, with strong depth in backend/platform systemsExperience building and scaling complex product or platform systems used in productionStrong systems design skills, with the ability to think in platforms, primitives, and reusable abstractions rather than one-off featuresProven ability to operate in ambiguous environments and convert evolving requirements into clean technical approachesStrong product instinct and user empathy; able to balance architecture quality with business speedExperience working on workflow systems, evaluation platforms, marketplaces, trust & safety, identity/fraud, or AI-powered products is a strong plusFamiliarity with modern AI/LLM-powered systems and the ability to apply them pragmatically in production workflowsTrack record of driving high-impact initiatives end-to-end across cross-functional stakeholdersStrong communication skills and a high-ownership mindsetWhat great looks like:Can independently take a messy problem space and turn it into a clear system design and execution planBuilds for scale, but without overengineeringThinks beyond the immediate ask and identifies the right underlying platform opportunitiesMoves fast, has sound judgment, and can make pragmatic tradeoffsRaises the quality bar for both technical design and product executionComfortable working across architecture,
