- Sanofi Business Services (SBS), one of the 4 pillars of Sanofi’s Business Transformation organization, is setting up a new captive Business Services Centre in Bogotá to provide Finance & Accounting (Account-to-Report, _Customer-Invoicing-to-Cash)_ as well as Employee oriented (Employee Experience) services._
- With respect to Account to Report (A2R) the Business Services center will be covering the following areas of the process:_
- _ Assets Management_
- _ Tax and Interco accounting_
- _ Treasury accounting_
- _ GL accounts closing and reporting_
- The purpose of this role is to:_
- _ Deliver GL monthly closing & reporting services to SBS USA and Latin America (except Brasil) as per their respective Service Level Agreements (SLAs)_
- _ Perform monthly closing activities as per Group timetable_
- _ Prepare management, tax, legal and statutory reporting at Group and country levels_
- _ Address operational issues and follow through to resolution in an effective and timely manner_
- _ Deliver operational KPIs and comply with Sanofi policies and guidelines_
- _ Participate in continuous improvement initiatives_




- The Senior Closing & Reporting Accountant reports to A2R Closing & Reporting Lead and works closely with Finance (Controlling, Treasury, Tax, Internal Control...), other SBS departments, Customer Service and the A2R team._

Principales **Responsabilidades**:
Operation
- Deliver GL monthly closing & reporting services to SBS.
- Review interfaces that generate automatic postings to ensure that they have been correctly booked, AR & AP sub-ledgers are closed and close Balance Sheet and P&L; accounts.
- Request & collect all recurring and non-recurring items, reconcile accounts, and post Manual Journal Entries (MJE)
- Prepare management, tax, legal and statutory reporting at Group and country levels.
- Prepare ad-hoc reports and analysis.
- Contribute to business reviews
- Execute in compliance of processes, transactions and reports with Sanofi accounting policies, internal control guidelines and audit / SOX requirements.
- Complete all activities as per the global Core Model and operational KPIs.
- Develop expert level knowledge of the activities in scope as well as local knowledge of entities in scope and become a super-user.
- Pro-actively anticipate operational issues and coach junior analysts.
- Build, document, and transfer A2R Core Model process knowledge (Level 6/7) relating to GL monthly closure and reporting activities.

Continous improvement
- Identify process improvement opportunities through elimination of redundant activities.




- Participate in process automation initiatives and ensure seamless adoption and transition.

Acerca de tí

Experiência:

- Good and proven experience in GL accounting preferably in an international multicultural environment (essential)
- Solid knowledge of IFRS (essential)
- Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs (essential)
- Hands on expertise in GL accounting, closing & reporting processes and activities (essential)
- Knowledge of GL accounting and reporting (essential)
- Experience in working within a Business Services organization (advantageous)
- Good business acumen (advantageous)
- Strong problem solving, deductive and analytical skills (advantageous)
