Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Accounts Payable (AP) within a GBS model, overseeing and supporting operations executed by a BPO provider. Responsible for ensuring service quality, compliance, issue resolution, and continuous improvement, while acting as a bridge between stakeholders and the outsourced team.Key ResponsibilitiesBPO Oversight & Operational ControlMonitor daily AP operations performed by the BPO providerValidate service delivery against SLAs, KPIs, and quality standardsReview outputs such as invoice postings, payment proposals, and reconciliationsIdentify and elevate performance gaps or risksIssue Resolution & EscalationsAct as first point of escalation for complex AP issues:Blocked invoicesCoordinate resolution between BPO, Procurement, and internal stakeholdersEnsure timely closure of tickets and escalationsQuality & CompliancePerform quality reviews and audits on BPO‑processed transactionsEnsure adherence to internal controls and policies (SOX if applicable)Detect and prevent duplicate or incorrect paymentsMaintain proper audit trail and documentation standardsProcess Governance & SME RoleEnsure compliance with GBS standard operating procedures (SOPs)Act as process expert for AP,
providing guidance to BPO and internal teamsSupport training and knowledge transfer to the BPO providerMaintain and update process documentationIdentify process inefficiencies and improvement opportunitiesSupport automation initiatives (OCR, RPA, workflow tools)Drive standardization and simplification across countriesStakeholder ManagementAct as key contact for internal stakeholders (Finance, Procurement, local teams)Support vendor issue resolution when escalatedProvide clear communication on status, risks, and resolutionsReporting & AnalyticsTrack and analyze key operational metrics:SLA complianceInvoice accuracyBacklog and agingProvide insights and recommendations to improve BPO performanceSupport reporting to AP Lead / ManagerQualificationsEducationBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related fieldExperience4 - 6 years of experience in Accounts PayableExperience in GBS / Shared Services environmentsExperience working with or supporting BPO providers (strongly preferred)Experience handling complex AP cases and escalationsTechnical SkillsERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)Intermediate/Advanced ExcelStrong understanding of AP processes, controls and complianceExperience with reporting and data analysisLanguages & SystemsIntermediate to advanced EnglishExperience with SAPAdvanced Excel and reporting/dashboarding tools.#J-18808-Ljbffr
