This is a full-time, on-site healthcare operations role for a candidate with prior Athenahealth experience and 2–5 years of experience in a US healthcare setting. You will work directly with patients of US medical practices through phone, email, text, and patient portal communication. The role includes appointment coordination, patient intake support, account updates, portal assistance, and accurate documentation in Athenahealth. This is not a sales, collections, cold‑calling, or traditional call centre role. It is a patient‑facing healthcare support position that requires professionalism, accuracy, empathy, and a strong understanding of US healthcare workflows.Key ResponsibilitiesManage approximately 40–60 patient interactions per day by phone, email, text, and patient portal.Schedule, reschedule, confirm, and cancel appointments according to US medical practice protocols.Accurately document patient interactions, demographic updates, appointment notes, and account details in Athenahealth.Assist patients with intake forms, portal access, appointment preparation, and general practice communication.Route clinical, billing, insurance, or operational issues to the appropriate team.Maintain a professional, calm, and empathetic tone with patients, providers, and practice staff.Follow client workflows, escalation paths, privacy expectations, and service‑level standards.Contribute to a high‑quality patient experience through accuracy, responsiveness,



and reliability.Required QualificationsUniversity degree or Technologist degree required.C1+ English proficiency required – spoken and written.Fully bilingual in English and Spanish.Hands‑on Athenahealth experience required.2–5 years of experience in a US healthcare setting required.Experience supporting US medical practices, clinics, physician groups, patient access teams, healthcare call centres, revenue cycle teams, or medical front‑office operations.Strong understanding of patient scheduling, EMR documentation, patient communication, and healthcare workflows.Excellent phone communication, written communication, organisation, and attention to detail.Ability to work fully on‑site in Bogotá.Candidates without Athenahealth experience or prior US healthcare experience will not be considered.Preferred QualificationsExperience with US specialty medical practices.Experience with patient intake, referrals, insurance verification, authorisations, billing support, or care coordination.Familiarity with HIPAA‑style privacy expectations.Experience with patient portals, CRM systems, call‑centre platforms, or healthcare communication tools.Experience in nephrology, primary care, cardiology, endocrinology, internal medicine, chronic care, or multispecialty practices is a plus.Performance ExpectationsSuccess in this role is measured by patient satisfaction, documentation quality, accuracy, responsiveness, attendance, and professional judgment – not call volume alone.The Successful Candidate Will Be Expected ToMaintain high‑quality service standards and target 95%+ patient satisfaction.Handle 40–60 daily patient interactions with professionalism and accuracy.Document patient communication accurately in Athenahealth.Follow US healthcare workflows and escalation protocols.Demonstrate reliability, punctuality, coachability,



and strong in‑office performance.Schedule and Work EnvironmentThis is a full‑time, on‑site role in Bogotá, Colombia. The schedule is Monday–Friday, aligned with US business hours. There is no regular weekend schedule. This role begins fully on‑site. Remote or hybrid work may be considered only after a successful performance review and based on business needs, client requirements, compliance, and individual reliability.
