**What will you do as an Operations Supervisor?**

As an Operations Supervisor, you oversee and coordinate daily operations, including loading and unloading trucks, ships, and barges; ensuring efficient and safe transfers. You will also manage personnel to ensure safety, quality, and health standards compliance while successfully executing product reception and dispatch programs. Additionally, you will propose solutions to improve operational efficiency and safety, serve as the alternate OPIP, and ensure adherence to environmental and maritime security regulations. You will identify equipment failures and collaborate with the maintenance department to coordinate necessary repairs, ensuring smooth operations at all times.

**What do we expect from you as an Operations Supervisor?**
- Bachelor’s degree in any branch of engineering, related field, or equivalent work experience.




- 5+ years of experience in operations, safety, or related fields, preferably in the national chemical industry and/or port operations.
- Strong competencies in leadership, teamwork, conflict management, performance under pressure, analytical and organizational skills, planning and time management, decision-making, assertive communication, adaptability to change, and a results-driven mindset focused on achieving objectives.
- Ability to interact effectively with employees, management, and customer
- Proven ability to establish and document new processes and improve existing ones when necessary.
- Excellent oral and written skills in both Spanish and English.

**What does your day look like?**

As an Operations Supervisor, you lead a team of nearly 20 colleagues and ensure the optimization of daily operational activities. Your team is responsible for supporting the Barranquilla terminal and maintaining high safety, quality, and efficiency standards while adhering to company policies and regulations. You play a key role in coordinating workflows, addressing challenges, and fostering a collaborative environment to achieve operational excellence.





**Your core responsibilities are**:

- Coordinate and Oversee daily Operations: Ensure efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of products, maintaining quality and alignment with client requirements while minimizing idle time.
- Supervise Infrastructure and Maintenance: Approve and monitor the infrastructure for product transfers, cleaning processes, and maintenance to prevent contamination or loss.
- Manage Inventory and Supplies: Request and maintain stock levels of operational materials, ensuring proper requisitions and coordination with the procurement team. Lead and Develop Team: Supervise, evaluate, and motivate terminal operators through performance assessments, training, and disciplinary processes to achieve company objectives.
- Ensure Safety and Compliance by Enforcing company policies, SHEQ standards, and environmental safety regulations, promptly addressing risks, and coordinating incident reporting and corrective actions.
- Lead system updates as needed, train users, and ensure data quality while adhering to general support processes. To guarantee smooth system operation and compliance, allocate 15-20% of your time to related tasks.
- Fulfill the responsibilities of the alternate OPIP, maintaining the Port Facility Security Plan, coordinating with ship and company security officers, and ensuring compliance with maritime security standards while maintaining communication with authorities.
