Remote Property Manager

Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

**Property Operations**:

- Supervise day-to-day operations of assigned properties remotely, ensuring compliance with local regulations including rent control ordinances
- Coordinate property inspections, maintenance, and repairs through vendor management and virtual oversight
- Conduct regular virtual site assessments and implement necessary improvements
- Manage rent collection processes using digital payment systems and property management software

**Tenant Relations & Leasing**:

- Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants, addressing concerns and inquiries promptly
- Handle tenant disputes with professionalism while ensuring compliance with rent control regulations
- Oversee leasing activities for vacant units, ensuring proper rent setting within regulatory guidelines
- Implement tenant retention strategies to minimize vacancies and turnover

**Financial Management**:

- Plan and manage property operating budgets, monitor income and expenses
- Prepare detailed reports on leasing activity, variance analysis, and capital expenditures
- Ensure accurate rent calculations and increases in accordance with rent control limitations

**Technology & Compliance**:





- Utilize property management systems as single source of truth for all property data and metrics
- Maintain digital filing systems for all documents, bills, and receipts
- Ensure timely and accurate reporting to regulatory agencies as required

Required Qualifications
- **Minimum 3+ years of property management experience with a US-based company**:

- **Experience managing portfolios of at least 30 units**:

- **Demonstrated expertise with rent control software and regulations**:

- Strong knowledge of residential property management operations and regulations
- Proficiency with property management systems (PMS) and digital rent collection platforms
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, especially in challenging situations
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision in a remote environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of fair housing laws and local rental regulation
