About the role
We are looking for our next team player to support the buying team by performing data integrity, data analysis and data entry functions, UPC code maintenance, report generation, pricing, and margin review; special projects as assigned.
Assist the Pricing / Margin Manager, Analyst, and Buyers with all aspects of pricing and margins review, with a focus on code date, margin, and pricing goal review.
The main functions are:
Set up new vendors and remit numbers for the US buying and accounting team in AS400 system
Set up new items and reactivate items for US buying in AS400 system with emphasis on reviewing and capturing inaccuracies.
Analyze and resolve inventory cost discrepancies through IB adjustments, Journal Entries and/or Sales Credits/Debits for US and Local Fresh items.




Process and review requested inventory markdowns for discontinued items to adjust cost and sell price.
Provide full pricing back up, run pricing reports, build excel spreadsheets and entered data into the AS400 for margin and pricing review.
Provide general help to the buying personnel, answer questions about price changes and other pricing issues
Margin sweeps and necessary cost review
Goal of being able to provide full pricing back up to margin and pricing review.
Required education and competencies
Bilingual, written and spoken, English and Spanish
Accounting background with proficient problem solving and strategic thinking skills
Advanced Excel skills including Pivot Tables, complex formulas and other MS Office applications.
Data analysis skills.
Data entry functions.
Dependable, attention to detail individual who is able to take direction and accomplish task with minimum supervision.
Self-directed and self-motivated individual with ability to manage multiple priorities at once and shift priorities seamlessly.
Adaptable to fast pace environment, including multitude of ad-hoc projects and reports with time sensitive deadlines
