Nocturnist – Northwestern Alabama
Employed practice seeks a BE/BC Internal Medicine physician to join them
Competitive base salary to be discussed directly with employer (shift differential pay for nocturnist)
Salary is $32o,000 plus WRVU and quality bonuses
Doctors average around 5-8 admissions per shift
14 vacation days per year
Area has a low cost of living
7on/7off
Cerner EMR
Mid-level and Nocturnal CRNP coverage, swing shift physician and CRNP take admissions till mid-night
Open ICU with nocturnists being required to do intubations and central line placement.
One nocturnist on each shift along with 2 NPs.
Procedure support available in-house but they ask their doctors to do procedures in an emergency situation as needed
Residents run codes




Neuro stroke alerts run by Neurologist and Cardiac alerts run by Cardiologist
