The Training & Development Specialist is responsible for designing, facilitating, and optimizing learning and development initiatives that support employee growth, engagement, and organizational performance. As a member of the Talent Development team at Fortra, this role plays a key part in advancing enterprise talent development priorities. This includes designing and developing asynchronous eLearning, designing and delivering virtual instructor-led training (VILT), and continuously improving learning programs from needs assessment through delivery and evaluation to ensure employees and teams can grow and perform at their best.

Success in this role requires comfort operating in ambiguity, managing multiple initiatives in parallel, and adapting learning experiences to support evolving business needs.

What You’ll Do

Learning Content Development & Design
- Conduct training needs assessments to identify capability gaps and learning priorities.
- Apply instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE) and adult learning best practices to create engaging and effective learning solutions for asynchronous and virtual instructor-led training.
- Design and develop a variety of asynchronous eLearning materials, including but not limited to: Interactive eLearning modules (SCORM/xAPI compliant), Job aids and performance support tools, Quizzes, assessments, scenarios and activities, Online resources
