Payment Operations Team Lead - Tipalti | Medellín

About the role
On behalf of Tipalti, SD Solutions is looking for a Payment Operations Team Lead to join a fast-growing global fintech company. In this role, you will lead a team responsible for ensuring smooth payment operations, resolving complex issues, and driving process improvements in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

You will act as a key bridge between operations, engineering, and external partners, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and an excellent service experience.

Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Payment Operations specialists
- Oversee daily payment operations, ensuring accuracy and timely processing
- Manage escalations and resolve complex payment or transaction issues
- Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and team performance
- Collaborate with engineering, product, and external partners to troubleshoot issues
- Identify process gaps and drive continuous improvement initiatives




- Ensure compliance with internal procedures and financial regulations
- Support onboarding and training of new team members
- Provide reporting and insights to leadership

Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in payment operations, fintech, or financial services:
- 1-2+ years of team leadership or people management experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience managing transactions, escalations, and operational workflows
- Process improvement mindset and ability to work in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Advanced English (B2+/C1)
- Experience with tools like Excel, CRM systems (Salesforce/Zendesk) is a plus
