Accountant (Remote - Must be based in Colombia)
Salary:$1200-$1400 USD/month
Shifts: 8:30 am - 5:30 am
Contract:6-month fixed-term contract
Job description
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical professional to join our team as a Cost Accountant & General Accountant. This role combines cost analysis, financial reporting, and daily accounting operations to support business performance and decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
Cost Accounting
Analyze production, material, labor, and overhead costs
Prepare cost reports and identify cost-saving opportunities
Perform variance analysis (budget vs. vigente)
Maintain standard costing systems
Monitor inventory valuation and reconciliations
Support pricing strategies and profitability analysis
Collaborate with operations to improve efficiency
General Accounting
Maintain the general ledger and accurate financial records
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Manage accounts payable and receivable
Perform bank and account reconciliations
Support budgeting and forecasting processes
Ensure compliance with accounting standards and tax regulations
Assist with audits and documentation
Record payroll and journal entries
Qualifications
Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
2-5 years of accounting experience (cost accounting preferred)
B2 english level
Strong knowledge of GAAP or IFRS
Proficiency in MS Excel and QuickBooks
