REMOTE Medical Operator (Medical Receptionist & Appointment Setter)

Time Range: Between 7 AM - 7 PM CST

Working Hours: 9-hour shift (8 working hours + 1-hour break)

Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
- Inbound & Outbound Calls: Schedule patient appointments, follow up on inquiries, confirm visits, and provide accurate information about healthcare services.
- Insurance Verification: Verify patient insurance coverage, eligibility, and benefits before appointments.
- Data Entry & Documentation: Accurately input and update patient records, medical history, and insurance details in the system.
- Prescription Coordination: Assist patients with prescription refills by coordinating with pharmacies and medical providers.
- Billing Support: Clarify billing inquiries, verify patient balances,



and direct financial concerns to the appropriate department.
- Patient Follow-ups: Conduct post-appointment follow-ups, remind patients about scheduled visits, and assist in rescheduling when necessary.
- Medical Records Management: Assist with organizing and retrieving electronic medical records (EMR) while ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with physicians, nurses, billing teams, and administrative staff to ensure seamless operations.
- Compliance & Confidentiality: Maintain HIPAA compliance and uphold patient confidentiality at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Previous administrative or call center experience (medical-related preferred).
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent data entry and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
- Proficiency in GSuite, Microsoft Office, and EMR systems.
