- This position is located in the Engineering Unit under the Service Delivery Section of the United Nations Verification Mission in Colombia (UNVMC). The Engineering Assistant will be under the supervision of the Chief of Engineering Unit.

- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Job - Specific Qualification
- Work Experience
- A minimum of five (5) of progressively responsible experience in construction/commissioning and operation/maintenance of facilities and infrastructure within the specific trade and craft area of carpentry, electrical, heavy equipment operator, mechanic, plumbing, welding and /or related trade and craft is required. Drafting using Auto CAD or similar software is desirable. Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Applications, MS Project is desirable.




- Languages
- English and French are the working languages of the United Secretariat. For this position, fluency in English and Spanish (both oral and written) is required. NOTE: Fluency equals a rating of "fluent" in all four areas (read, write, speak, understand), and "knowledge of" equals a rating of "confident" in two of the four areas.
