Role Overview
Position: SAP Domain Architect Order To Cash – Rapid Diagnostic division, Bogotá, Colombia. The role is responsible for building Abbott’s RDx SAP strategy, roadmap, and architecture across the Order To Cash domain.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a holistic view of the organization’s SAP strategy and processes.
- Develop and own the RDx SAP blueprint/roadmap and define short‑term and long‑term strategy and implementation plans.
- Oversee and contribute to cost‑effective solutions for various‑sized projects, coaching functional architects on SAP architecture and business capability‑driven methodology.
- Define roadmaps for application improvements, additional functionalities, and benchmarking of best practices.
- Collaborate closely with global process owners to improve the divisional SAP template and add unexploited functionalities.
- Develop, review, and maintain the domain’s SAP architecture roadmap and strategy, ensuring adequacy and concurrency.
- Manage and lead design and implementation of complex SAP solutions and projects across functional areas.
- Deliver critical programs across the RDx SAP roadmap, effectively managing functional and technical teams to meet commitments with high quality and on time.
- Create and own business‑aligned implementation plans, timelines, milestones, and ensure seamless integration of SAP modules with existing systems and third‑party applications.
- Manage core SAP, connected applications projects, interfaces, and middleware integration.
- Set and enforce integral architecture standards for ERP solutions.
- Provide expert guidance and leadership on SAP‑related technical matters to internal teams and external partners.
- Develop, motivate, and direct the functional team,
fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.
Required Qualifications
- Accredited bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business administration, or another relevant discipline.
- 10+ years in SAP implementation, support, and management, with at least 8+ years as an architect managing SAP projects and teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all SAP implementation methodologies: Applications, Integration, Data, Security, Change Management, Training, and Communications.
- 5+ years of experience as a manager or technical lead.
- Experience working in a highly validated system environment.
- Proven track record of leading large‑scale SAP projects and teams.
- In‑depth knowledge of various SAP modules beyond the domain.
- Experience writing and reviewing functional requirements, user requirements, and FUT/SIT in MF‑ALM.
Preferred Qualifications
- 15+ years of IT and business/industry experience, including extensive senior‑level technical expertise.
- Working knowledge of critical processes within the relevant business area and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
- Hands‑on planning and facilitation of blueprint workshops.
- Experience leading functional ERP (SAP) teams—both direct and indirect.
- Experience coaching and mentoring business and IT resources to ensure effective and sustainable application designs.
- Proven ability to influence strategic direction and deliver business results.
- Exceptional communication skills.
