Role Description

As the Data Analytics Lead, you will play a strategic leadership role in Danescor’s Data Science function, overseeing the design, implementation, and optimization of analytics solutions that drive decision-making and operational intelligence. You will lead a team of analysts and collaborate closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and senior management to develop scalable, high-impact data initiatives aligned with the company's growth and automation strategy. You will be responsible for shaping the analytics roadmap, ensuring the robustness of data pipelines, and advancing data platform capabilities. Your leadership will enable faster insights, improved data governance, and a more resilient analytics infrastructure. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to influence and guide both technical and non-technical teams.

This role requires a blend of technical expertise, business acumen, and the ability to influence and guide both technical and non-technical teams.

Required Candidate Profile

- Skills: Strong proficiency in Python, SQL, Azure automation tools (Power Apps, Power Automate), and APIs. Familiarity with data warehousing, BI tools, and CI/CD in analytics environments is a plus.
- Experience: 3+ years in data-focused roles with at least 2 years in a leadership or senior analyst position. Background in analytics, automation, or data platform development, ideally within finance, M&A;, or high-growth environments. Experience managing cloud environments and containerised applications. Strong understanding of Big O notation and algorithm efficiency.
- Leadership Traits: Strategic thinker, proactive problem-solver, effective communicator, and systems-oriented leader. Comfortable translating business needs into data solutions and aligning teams around a shared vision.

Responsibilities

- Lead the design and deployment of scalable automated data pipelines.
- Oversee extraction, transformation, and enrichment processes for M&A; intelligence.
- Drive adoption of best practices in Git, Docker, CI/CD, and asynchronous processing.
- Collaborate with leadership to align data initiatives with company strategy.
- Mentor junior and mid-level analysts to elevate team performance.
- Build interactive dashboards and reporting tools for internal and client-facing use.
- Eliminate fragile tools and one-off data solutions by implementing robust, sustainable, production-grade infrastructure.
- Partner with engineering, M&A;, finance, and commercial teams to integrate data-driven insights into core business operations.
