Technical Service Engineer – Bogota, Colombia

Perform field service activities including installation, preventive and corrective maintenance, upgrades, technical support, and service training for customers and distributors in Colombia and other Spanish‑speaking LATAM regions.

Key Responsibilities

- Ensure completion of service order tasks in our system in compliance with the current SLA policy.
- Monitor technical customer complaints, escalates issues to the appropriate stakeholders and follows up until closure.
- Create technical service quotations and manage spare parts orders.
- Monitor spare parts safety stock levels and consumption, and prepare and submit replenishment orders with the Import department.
- Ensure organization and maintenance of the service workshop following 5S principles.
- Demonstrate a continuous improvement mindset, strong collaboration, cooperation, and sense of ownership, while considering cross‑departmental input.
- Support the implementation and availability of the HLM service contracts portfolio, including new packages and differentiated contract options promoted by the manager.
- Follow and apply SOPs for the Technical Service department based on the company’s business model.




- Utilize the technical software management system to manage and track service calls.
- Monitor service operation performance indicators, record service documentation, and ensure timely usage and uploading of all relevant data.
- Ensure continuous improvement of service procedures in collaboration with the Quality department.

Skills and Experience

- Field service activity experience.
- Experience with medical devices desirable.
- Knowledge and experience with extracorporeal circulation machines desirable.
- Travel required: approximately 75%.
- Field‑based / on‑site position.
- Advanced spoken and written English – mandatory.

Education

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation Engineering, or a related engineering field.
