Key Responsibilities: Camera & Signal Management
- Camera System Integration: Lead the end-to-end assembly of professional broadcast cameras, including specialized lens mounting, onboard monitoring, and external power distribution.
- Optical Calibration: Perform precise adjustments of camera parameters, including Back-focus calibration, White Balance, and Shading (CCU) to ensure visual consistency across all studio tables.
- Advanced Image Control: Manage and fine-tune critical photography concepts—Aperture, Shutter Angle/Speed, ISO sensitivity, and Color Temperature—to maintain high-fidelity output under studio lighting.
- Broadcast Signal Chain: Establish and verify the integrity of SDI/4K video signals, ensuring seamless transmission from the camera head through patch panels to the switcher and capturing devices.
- Studio Lighting Synergy: Collaborate on lighting schemes,
adjusting camera sensors to match lux levels and modifiers for optimal exposure and skin tone reproduction.
- Fault Diagnostics: Rapidly troubleshoot "video loss" or signal degradation in live environments, identifying issues within the camera body, cabling (SDI/XLR/Fiber), or server room hardware.
- Hardware Craftsmanship: Execute precision cable termination (crimping and soldering) and maintain the physical health of high-end optical equipment.
Requirements: The "TV Engineer" Profile
- Language skills: Advanced English proficiency (B2/B2+), mandatory.
- Broadcast/TV Background: (Mandatory) Direct experience in a Television Studio, Master Control Room (MCR), or Live Sports Production.
- Advanced Camera Operation: Deep knowledge of professional camera architecture (Body, CCU, Lenses, and Video Capture cards).
- Technical Engineering: Degree or equivalent experience in Electronics, Sound, or Broadcast Engineering.
- The "Optical Eye": Thorough understanding of focal lengths, depth of field, and signal-to-noise ratios in a live video context.
- Infrastructure Skills: Experience with server racks, NVR/DVR systems, and low-voltage wiring (Video, Audio, and Network).
- Agility: Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, live-to-air environment where every second of "black screen" counts.
